Green arrow production of Rajshahi commenced its journey four years ago. Some inspired school going teenagers were inspired by a musical film made by a Dhaka based production house in Rajshahi. After having passed many obstacles they formulated the house ‘green arrow’.
Arif and Joy started it as the name of A.R.J film production to make films oriented in Rajshahi. Later Ayon and Naem joined them along with Ashiq, Fahim, Nimon, Shaon. Ayon led the pack and they made a ground breaking video called ‘ Bhalobasha hoini bola’ that created a lot of hype around the city. They used personal digital cameras for the production.
Their journey continued with some other good productions. They were inspired and started making music videos with own artists. ‘Priyare oh priya’, a music video was made with the song of local artist Fardin. He was also the composer and lyricist of that piece.
The encouragement pushed them further and they started making short films. They did not look back since.
Shamimul Alam Shaon said a short film of their house ‘Oghoton’ is going to be released on the Valentine’s day of 2014. They are also working with another short named ‘Shohanubhuti’.
They have also made a drama on awareness named ‘Cholo bodlai’. It is written by Sheuly , directed by Fahim and edited by Ashikul Alam. Some children including Imon, Ariyan, Ahasan Habib and Samiul Alam acted brilliantly on it.
Green Arrow production said, they are not receiving the kind of media support which goes with their quality and passion, hence they are falling behind. They urge all the electronic and print media to support them.
