i. when the clouds thawed down, i wondered whether you'd be awake - i was counting on winter this year, november came on time though, as we kept on, both in our ways - biting on food and crying over deaths which read too real; felt too close but not of our own, not our own to take us down in one go. ii. our jobs kill us; keep us alive we correct names and stories punctuate our breaths, unnoticed sighs as our throats dry - in between all that; every thought, you come back to me, i tell myself that is enough.
