Uttarayan will stage a cultural event with focus on Tagore songs marking its fifth founding anniversary on Saturday.
A presentation of compositions of Rabindranath Tagore titled “Golpe Gaane Rabindranath” will take place at the capital's Shilpakala Academy at 6:30pm.
Seasoned singer Lili Islam, along with Himadri Shekhar has directed the event.
Subrata Mukharjee will lead the instrumental performance while Nasirul Haque Khokan is the art director of the event.
Shimu Dey, a performer of the event told the Dhaka Tribune: “After graduating from university, we started this organisation Uttarayan out of our love and compassion for Tagore. This particular programme will reflect our feelings.”
