DIU introduces “Unconditional Appreciation Awards” for responsible

S M Firoz Ahmed, son of Md Abdul Karim and Firoza Karim and student of computer science and engineering department of Daffodil International University has been conferred with the Unconditional Appreciation Award for his noteworthy performance in responding to his family's needs. Md Sabur Khan, chairman, board of trustees, DIU handed over the award at a simple ceremony held at the chairman’s conference room of the university. Country’s renowned cultural activist and president of International Theater Institute (ITI) and Sanmilito Sangskrtik Jote Nasir Uddin Yousuf Bachchu, journalist Anis Alamgir and former pro-vice chancellor of Jahangirnagar University Professor Afsar Ahmed were present as special guests.

DIU recognises S M Firoz Ahmed for his dedication to his parents and family. DIU believes this award will help him understand the real role of education in transforming a man/woman into a rational, learned being. A good son or daughter is always a holistic pride for his parents, and DIU salutes him for being such an exemplary human being.

The function was also attended by Professor Dr Yousuf M Islam, vice chancellor, Professor Dr M Golam Rahman, pro-vice chancellor, emeritus Professor Dr Aminul Islam, Syed Mizanur Rahman Raju, director (student affairs), deans of different faculties and registrar Prof Dr Engr A KM Fazlul Hoque.
