Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL) Managing Director Md Monwar Hossain said: “Fixing the submarine cable repeaters is a regular process. It has not been done for quite some time. Over the three days, we will repair the repeater of the 1,260km long SEA-ME-WE 4 cable.”
Bangladesh gets 300Gbps bandwidth from the SEA-ME-WE 4 cable. But BSCCL only provides 250Gbps from it. The national usage is currently 440Gbps. Six international extraterrestrial cable associations are importing another 150Gbps of bandwidth. This story was first published on Bangla Tribune
