The namaz-e-janaza of BNP Vice-Chairman and president of the Supreme Court Bar Association Khandaker Mahbub Hossain was held at the Supreme Court Lawyer's premises on Sunday afternoon.
Imam Mufti Abu Jafar of Jame Masjid of the Supreme Court Lawyers Association led the prayer.
Advocate Abdun Noor Dulal, Secretary of the Supreme Court Lawyers Association, read the biography of Khandaker Mahbub Hossain before the funeral.
Earlier on Saturday night, Mahbub died at Evercare Hospital.
On Wednesday, the BNP leader was put on a ventilator at Evercare a day after being admitted there with a respiratory problem, Sayrul Kabir Khan, a BNP media cell member, had told UNB.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
