Once an influential politician, former state minister for home affairs Tanjim Ahmad Sohel Taj recently led a march to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s official residence with three specific demands.
Popularly known as Sohel Taj, son of first Prime Minister of Bangladesh Tajuddin Ahmad, has apparently left politics for good in order to help people improve their health and opened a gym in Dhaka’s Satmasjid Road in 2021.
In an interview with Dhaka Tribune, Sohel Taj talks about the reason behind this march, revealed his political thoughts centering on the next national council of Awami League and plan for the next national parliament election.
