Industrialist Moyeenul Hasan passes away

He was very much a political person and was actively involved in ensuring the welfare of factory workers before and after the Liberation War

Industrialist Moyeenul Hasan passed away on March 8 at age 92.

A native of Habiganj, Moyeenul Hasan, known as Zubair to his family and friends, was a student of chemistry and established People's Chemical Industry in the early 1960s in the then East Pakistan.

He was involved with a number of organizations, including the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Rotary Club Dhaka North. 

Moyeenul was very much a political person and was actively involved in ensuring the welfare of factory workers before and after the Liberation War. 

He also established woven and sweater factories in the 1980s and 1990s.  

Moyeenul was an amateur painter and enjoyed his retirement years drawing and painting.

He leaves behind his wife, Sabera, and four children, Manzoor, Saniya, Nahid and Tasneem, ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
