Dumplings of Fury offers an array of ‘angry’ dumpling flavours to choose from. After its inception earlier this year, the take-out came to earn much recognition, owing to the quality of food sold for relatively reasonable prices.
Our team decided to order some of the most popular flavours, and put them to a taste test. Here’s the verdict:
Chicken Chiu Chow Dumpling: This one with yellow hue looks appetizing, but tastes a little bland on its own. The outer shell may be a little thick, which lessens the impact of the chicken stuffing. However, paired with the sauce it comes with, this has the potential to become a favourite. A box of these is priced at Tk220.
Shrimp Shui Mai: The Shrimp Shui Mai is an explosion of flavours that complement each other, without being too overpowering. It’s zesty, with just the right amount of ginger, for an extra kick. The taste lingers on the tongue, and the perfect balance of the fresh ingredients makes it a great snack, for just Tk280.
Kala Bhuna Potsticker: This is easily the crowd favourite. Adding a classic flavour to this small yet filling snack is an interesting idea, and not a gimmick. Although the sauce adds a nice touch, the dumpling is still packed with plenty of flavour on its own. It retains the famous bhuna taste; however, it could use a little more gravy in the meat. The Kala Bhuna Potsticker is more on the higher end of the price range, costing Tk300.
Overall, the dumplings are light and easy snack options for the residents of Dhanmondi and Lalmatia, from 12pm to 11pm every day.
Each box contains six pieces of dumplings in whichever flavour you like. All the items on the menu cost between Tk200 to 300, with an additional Tk30 delivery charge. The take out establishment currently offers 14 flavours to choose from, but they will soon be introducing new items that you should surely look out for!
For the price and the innovative flavours, Dumplings of Fury could easily be your go-to take out for lazy evening snacking.
