Jaya Ahsan is on a roll in both Bengals, it seems. Two of her films, Debi and Ek Je Chhilo Raja are releasing on the same day on October 19. The first one will be released in Bangladesh while the latter in West Bengal.
Another one of her films, Bisorjon, will hit Bangladeshi theatres soon.
Kaushik Ganguly’s Bisorjon was first released in Kolkata on April 14. The film received clearance from the Bangladesh Film Sensor Board on October 14.
Jaya was the first Bangladeshi actor to win a Film Fare (East) award in India -- she received the award for her role in Bisorjon.
The movie Bisorjon is a love story between a Bangladeshi widow (Jaya) and an Indian businessman (Abir Chatterjee).
