Google Arts & Culture celebrates Frida Kahlo’s contribution to modern art, fashion, music and dance through “Faces of Frida”. Around 33 museums from 7 countries and experts from all over the world are joining Google Arts & Culture to celebrate “Faces of Frida”, the Mexican artist’s most iconic artworks.
According to Forbes magazine, the project exhibits 800 items including photographs, artworks, artifacts, and documents related to Frida Kahlo. Many of the artifacts that are rarely exhibited will be available in the online display, including “View of New York”, “Portrait of Virginia” and so on.
The collection also features an original piece by Alexa Meade in particular for “Faces of Frida”, guided by Kahlo’s great-niece, Cristina Kahlo.
The online exhibition highlights 54 rare documents which reflect Frida Kahlo’s personal life. Viewers can see a representation of her early life and painting here.
The exhibition is online based with ultra-high resolution images, 20 of them are shot on Google’s Art Camera.
