19 years later: The day from the epilogue of Harry Potter is here

Update : 01 Sep 2017, 06:29 PM
September 1, 2017 may be an ordinary day for the ordinary people (*ahem* Muggles *ahem*) around the world, but for the wizarding world of Harry Potter, it is more special than you could imagine. Today marks the date from “19 Years Later,” the last chapter of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the last instalment of the Harry Potter series. Today's the day when the Golden Trio – Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger – as well as Draco Malfoy come back to Platform Nine-And-Three-Quarters in London's King's Cross Station to see off their children boarding the Hogwarts Express to spend the next seven years of their lives learning magic at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (Although Harry and his wife Ginny came back in 2015 to see off their eldest child James Sirius Potter). Fans of the Potter universe are celebrating the day all over the world. The hashtags #19yearslater and #Hogwarts are trending on Twitter, while a meme saying “Nineteen Years Later is This Year” has gone viral on Facebook.JK Rowling, the Queen Witch who created the magical world, also had something to say about the day.Her website Pottermore, which continues to give tidbits on the lives of our Wizarding World friends post the Battle of Hogwarts on May 2, 1998, published a special article for the occasion. Fans who could travel to London headed to the Kings Cross Station to celebrate the day.  As Albus Potter, Rose Weasley and Scorpius Malfoy along with many other 11-year-olds in this fictional world embark on the next journey of their lives today, here's to the next generation of readers who will have as much fun - if not more - as the older generations have had while getting immersed in the world of the bespectacled boy with an odd scar on his forehead.
