Pelicans are famous for the elastic pouches in their throats.
They travel in groups and hunt fish.
When they find their prey, the pelicans scoop the fish into the elastic sacs underneath their bills and swallow them at one go.
Before swallowing, they squeeze the water out the side of their bills and gulp the fish down.
There are eight living species of pelicans in the world.
They have wings as large as 10 feet and can fly to heights of 10,000 feet.
Their bills and pouches can change to colours like bright pink, yellow or blue.
