British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company (BATBC) reported 37% earnings for the year ended on December 31, 2021.
In a filing with Dhaka Stock Exchange on Thursday, the company said that its earnings per share (EPS) was Tk27.72 for the financial year, up from Tk20.12 in the previous year.
BATBC also declared a 150% final cash dividend for the year 2021, raising its total dividend to 275% for the whole financial year. It already distributed a 125% interim cash dividend.
Back in the year 2020, BATBC offered 600% cash dividend and 200% stock dividend to its shareholders.
During Sunday’s trade, the closing price for each of its shares was Tk638.5.
