Chittagong Stock Exchange investors okay 5% dividend

The shareholders of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) on Thursday approved a 5% dividend for the 2019-20 fiscal at its 25th annual general meeting (AGM).

Chairman of the Chittagong bourse Asif Ibrahim conducted the meeting, said a press release.

During the meeting, the shareholders virtually elected Md Siddiqur Rahman, managing director of SR Capital Ltd, and Mohammed Mohiuddin, managing director of Islam Securities Ltd, as new directors of the CSE board.

Among others, CSE directors SM Salamat Ullah Bhuiyan, MA Malek, SM Tayyab, Sohail Mohammad Shakor, Md Liaquat Hossain Chowdhury, Barrister Anita Ghazi Islam, Mirza Salman Ispahani, Maj (Retd) Emdadul Islam, Shahjada Mahmud Chaudhuri, Md Sayadur Rahman, Managing Director Mamun-Ur-Rashid, and Company Secretary Rajib Saha were also present at the meeting virtually.

The AGM was virtually held in compliance with the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission’s (BSEC) order issued on 11 June this year.
