The price of bottled soybean oil on Thursday was reduced by Tk5 per litre, effective from Sunday.
With the new rate, a litre of soybean oil will now cost Tk187, down from Tk192, according to a Commerce Ministry release.
Besides, the price of a five-litre bottle of soybean oil has dropped from Tk925 to Tk906.
The price of loose oil reduced from Tk172 to Tk167 per litre and palm oil down from Tk121 to Tk117.
In a meeting held Monday to analyze the imports, stocks and prices of daily essentials, the government decided the new rates.
