Ahsanul, another director resigns from IBBL

Two independent directors of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) have resigned on Thursday from the board of the bank, two days after their removal from the executive posts. The directors are former vice-chairman Syed Ahsanul Alam Parvez and removed chairman of the bank's risk management committee Md Abdul Mabud.

IBBL chairman of risk management committee Md Abdul Madud CollectedIBBL Chairman Arastoo Khan confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune. “We have received resignation letters from two independent directors. The bank’s company secretary confirmed it to me today,” he said.

The directors had resigned over personal reasons, added the IBBL chairman. Ahsanul and Mabud were removed from their executive posts during the bank's 34th Annual General Meeting on Tuesday.
