Banking transaction hours between 9:30am-2:30pm during Ramadan

Every scheduled bank in Bangladesh will remain open from 9:30am to 4pm from Sunday to Thursday during Ramadan, according to a Bangladesh Bank circular released on Tuesday. However, transaction hours will end an hour and a half before closing, at 2:30pm. In addition, there will be a 15-minute prayer break from 1:15pm to 1:30pm. The weekly holidays will remain on Friday and Saturday. Chief executives of all banks have been asked to comply with the circular signed by Joint Director Ifthekhar Uddin Ahmed.
