Update : 24 Feb 2025, 07:04 PM

The Bangladesh Bank has revised the office and transaction hours for banks during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.

According to a circular issued on Monday, bank transactions will take place from 9:30am to 2:30pm, while office hours will run from 9:30am to 4pm.

The circular further mentioned that all scheduled banks across the country will operate from 9:30am to 4pm during Ramadan, with a prayer break from 1:15pm to 1:30pm.

However, banks can continue transactions during this break through internal coordination. Regular banking hours will resume after Ramadan.

Under normal circumstances, banks conduct transactions from 10am to 4pm, while office hours extend from 10am to 6pm.

The central bank traditionally adjusts banking hours every year during Ramadan to accommodate religious observances.
