Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Fazle Kabir on Saturday urged the next generation to become entrepreneurs and set up self-employed industrial units to advance the country’s economy and materialise the development goals of Vision 2021 and Vision 2041.
“We can build a developed country within 2041 through creating more entrepreneurs,” he said while addressing a conference on “School Banking” at Swimming Pool and Gymnasium Auditorium in the district, reports BSS. In his address as the chief guest, the governor said BB is encouraging the commercial banks to open up newer branches in rural areas for spreading business across the country.
“Students deposit in the bank through school banking. The students will also exercise the same practice when they will become entrepreneurs or enter into any professions,” he added.
Among others, BB’s Executive Director Mijanur Rahman Joddar and United Commercial Bank (UCB) Managing Director Muhammed Ali were present in the conference.
UCB Additional Managing Director Mirza Mahmud Rafiqur Rahman presided over the function.
