In a bid to deepen trade collaboration and unlock supply chain synergies, High Commissioner of Pakistan Imran Haider met with Mohammad Hatem, President of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA), at the association’s Dhaka office today.
The high-level bilateral session, attended by several BKMEA directors, focused on accelerating joint initiatives under the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between BKMEA and the Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMA).
Both sides underscored the importance of organizing targeted business-to-business (B2B) meetings to bridge industry players and expand commercial avenues across both markets.
Highlighting new opportunities for cooperation, President Hatem formally invited Pakistani textile companies to participate in the upcoming Bangladesh International Textile, Knitting and Garment Industry Exhibition, slated for January 2027 in Dhaka.
The event is expected to serve as a key platform for deepening cross-border industrial integration.
High Commissioner Haider reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating seamless trade partnerships, assuring the BKMEA leadership of full support to expand commercial engagement and build a more robust bilateral trading environment.
