Bangladesh has made its mark on the global creative stage as Starcom Bangladesh won two Silver awards at the UK-based Creativepool Annual Awards 2026 for its Samsung campaign, “An Ad That Erases Ads.”
The agency won Silver in both categories it entered, with Silver being the highest award given in each category this year.
The campaign was created to highlight Samsung’s Object Eraser tool, an AI feature available on its mid-range A Series smartphones.
Instead of promoting the feature through a regular advertisement, Starcom Bangladesh turned the ad itself into an interactive experience.
Users could circle unwanted advertisements and erase them from the page, just as Object Eraser removes unwanted objects from photos.
The idea made a complex AI feature easy to understand. It also turned advertising clutter into part of the campaign.
The website, surrounding advertisements and user interaction all worked together to demonstrate the feature.
The latest recognition adds to Starcom Bangladesh’s nine awards for this campaign at Commward and Digital Marketing Award 2026, strengthening the agency’s growing presence in international creative competitions.
Part of the global Starcom network, Publicis Media and Bitopi Group, Starcom Bangladesh continues to bring together media, technology and creativity to create meaningful consumer experiences.
Speaking on the achievement, Sarah Ali, managing director of Starcom Bangladesh, said: “Our ambition has always been to create work that connects with people and moves the industry forward. This recognition is a proud moment for our team and Bangladesh’s advertising community, showing that local ideas can stand alongside the world’s best. We hope it inspires greater confidence in our talent and bolder work from Bangladesh.”
“Starcom Bangladesh has earned international recognition before, and this continued success reflects our dedication and determination to keep delivering work of this standard. Thanks to our clients and partners for their continuous support and trust that keeps us motivated,” said Mohammad Ahmedun Faiez, vice president of Starcom Bangladesh.
Talking about the campaign, RH Shajeeb, director of Starcom Bangladesh, said: “We asked ourselves how we could make an AI feature communication feel less like ‘Just another feature’ and more like a useful human experience.”
He added: “This was truly a team effort. From developing the initial thought to finding the right media environment and bringing the technology and execution together, the team worked collaboratively to turn a simple observation into something people could experience. The recognition reflects that collective effort.”
The achievement follows Starcom Bangladesh’s Creativepool recognition in 2025 for its Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra campaign, “Summaries, Just Like That!”
Both campaigns reflect the agency’s focus on turning product capabilities into engaging consumer experiences.
