The board of directors of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, at its meeting held on April 29, unanimously appointed Mohsin Habib Chowdhury as chief executive officer & managing director of the company for a period of five years.
This will be effective from August 1, 2026, subject to approval by the shareholders at the annual general meeting 2026 and in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 1994, and other relevant laws and regulations of Bangladesh.
Mohsin Habib Chowdhury is presently serving as chief operating officer & director of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited.
He joined the company in 1995 and has since contributed significantly across various leadership roles, particularly in the areas of sales, marketing, and operational management, playing a pivotal role in the company’s sustained growth and market leadership.
The board has also resolved, at the same meeting, to appoint Rupali Haque Chowdhury as executive director, BPBL Subsidiaries; coordination director, joint ventures; and non-executive director, Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, effective from August 1, 2026 for two years, subject to applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Rupali Haque Chowdhury joined Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited on July 1, 2002 and has been serving as managing director since 2008, during which time she has provided strong strategic leadership, contributed to organizational excellence, and guided the company through significant phases of expansion and transformation.
The board of directors appreciated and thanked both Mohsin Habib Chowdhury and Rupali Haque Chowdhury for their outstanding leadership, dedication, and invaluable contributions to the company over the years, and looked forward to their continued guidance in steering Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited toward sustained growth and long-term success.
