Bank Asia PLC has launched the digital financial literacy app “Amar Hisab-Kitab” to accelerate financial inclusion activities.
The app was developed by Bank Asia in collaboration with the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) under the Aparajita Project of H&M Foundation to strengthen financial inclusion programs for readymade-garment workers.
Mohammad Ziaul Hasan Molla, deputy managing director, CAMLCO and head of Channel Banking of the Bank launched the App while inaugurating a training program on it at Gonosatha PHA at Mirzapur, Savar, Dhaka on Saturday.
Senior bank officials, branch heads, Agents, Micro Merchants, field officers, and RMG factory officials attended the program and received hands-on training on using the app so that they could transfer the knowledge to RMG workers and their communities.
