SM Abu Mohsin, a former NCC Bank director and chairman and a leading industrialist and philanthropist in Bangladesh, passed away on Monday at the age of 72.
He breathed his last at 3pm at Apollo Imperial Hospital, Chittagong, following a cardiac arrest.
He left behind his wife, four sons, and well-wishers.
His first namaz-e-janaza was held at Jamaitul Falah Jame Masjid, Chittagong, after Zuhr prayers on Tuesday.
His second namaz-e-janaza will be held after Esha prayers then he will be buried at his family Graveyard at Kadurkhil Village in Boalkhali upazila.
SM Abu Mohsin was born in Chittagong in 1952.
Mohsin was the chairman of Alliance Deep Sea Fishing Ltd, JM Shipping Lines, Food AND Accommodation Co Ltd and managing director of Brothers Oxygen Ltd.
His father, the late SM Mozaherul Haq, founded the Mozaher Group, and Mohsin was also a director of this group.
SM Abu Mohsin was the chairman of Continental Insurance Ltd and director of Central Hospital Ltd. He was associated with many social and educational organizations.
