Although that big reveal never quite happened, we’ve now got fresh clues that the N Vision 74 might be closer to reality than we think. The car recently popped up in Hyundai's 2024 Investor Day presentation, fueling speculation that this high-performance EV might soon hit the road.
Inspired by a 1974 concept car designed by the legendary Giorgetto Giugiaro, the N Vision 74 combines the sleek lines of the past with cutting-edge tech from Hyundai’s latest EVs. It’s a mashup of the old and the new, with some major DeLorean vibes thrown in for good measure.
What’s under the hood? Well, that’s where it gets interesting. The N Vision 74 is rumored to feature a "hydrogen hybrid" setup—think hydrogen fuel cell meets a beefy 62.4 kWh battery, powering two rear electric motors. This beast supposedly churns out 580 horsepower, zooms from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4 seconds, and has a range of over 370 miles.
But here’s the kicker: if Hyundai sticks with hydrogen, the N 74 Coupe could face challenges in markets like the US, where hydrogen refueling stations are scarce.
