Mercantile Bank signed a participatory agreement with Bangladesh Bank for the disbursement of loans under a refinancing scheme worth Tk5,000 crore for food security of the country at the latter's headquarters in Dhaka on Sunday.
In presence of the Governor of Bangladesh Bank Abdur Rouf Talukder, Managing Director & CEO of Mercantile Bank Md Quamrul Islam Chowdhury and Director of Agricultural Credit Department of Bangladesh Bank Md Abul Kalam Azad signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations, reads a press release.
Deputy Governor AKM Sajedur Rahman Khan and Mohammad Shafruzzaman Khan, Head of Agriculture Credit Division of Mercantile Bank along with senior officials from both organizations were also present at the signing ceremony.
