The grand finale of She Loves Tech 2022 Bangladesh was organized by Turtle Venture on Wednesday in collaboration with the respective partners - Daraz Bangladesh, Startup Bangladesh, Bangladesh Angels, SBK Tech Ventures, Moar and BWIN.
The participants pitched in front of the judging panel consisting of the chief guest Managing Director of Startup Bangladesh Sami Ahmed, CEO of LightCastle Partners Bijon Islam, Advisory Lead of Bangladesh Angels Ahmed Yusuf, Managing Director of Truvalu Enterprises Sharawwat Islam, Partner of SBK Tech Ventures Kerry Breen, reads a press release.
The champion startup was Vertical Innovations, founded by Rezwan Ahamed Noor Shabbin followed by Mommykidz as first runner-up and Food Patrons as second runner-up.
Other finalist participants were Silswa, Medisquare and Peora.
The event continued with an award-giving ceremony, including presenting the crests to the winners and competition finalists by the chief guest.
All the startups that were selected for the finale went through a competitive selection process. This time, after careful revisions through more than 150 applications, Turtle Venture held a month-long boot camp and sessions where they called the top five shortlisted startups through face-to-face interviews, pitch presentations and rigorous training.
Turtle Venture plans to continue with such events further into the future and on a bigger scale.
