Dhaka Bank inks an agreement with SME Foundation to receive revolving fund

After successfully implementing the two phases of the Covid-19 stimulus package, the SME Foundation has formed a revolving loan facility amounting to Tk300 crore with the fund from the government's stimulus package channelled through the foundation

An agreement has been signed between Dhaka Bank and SME Foundation to disburse loans to CMSME customers at a concessional interest rate under the incentive package announced by the government. 

The agreement was signed between Dhaka Bank and SME Foundation at a ceremony held on July 27 at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka, reads a press release.

MD and CEO of Dhaka Bank Emranul Huq and Managing Director of SME Foundation Md Mafizur Rahman signed and exchange the agreement on behalf of their organizations. 

Chief Emerging Market Officer [CEMO] Md Mostaque Ahmed and Head of MSME Business of the bank Md Mahbubur Rahman Palash were present during the agreement signing ceremony. 

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder, Financial Institutions Division Secretary Sheikh Mohammad Salim Ullah, SME Foundation Chairman Dr Md Masudur Rahman and top officials of different banks and NBFIs were also present at the signing ceremony.
