Selim H Rahman, chairman and managing director of Hatil Bangladesh attended as the event chair. Mizanur Rahman, director of Finance and Accounts, Hatil Bangladesh was also present. More than 50 people from all over India attended this event.

The participants discussed Hatil’s performance in India so far, and this led to their future action plan based on the socio-economic trends in India.

“India is one of the largest furniture markets in the world, and there is huge competition. Alongside local furniture manufacturers, brands from Italy, China, Vietnam and Cambodia are dominating the market with a large market share. Competitive price plays a crucial role in sustaining and augmenting market share. However, despite various limitations, we have been providing furniture at a competitive price in the international market since 2013. People have started showing interest in our products because of Hatil’s quality and innovative designs. With the positive response from the market, we are expanding our showrooms here also. The production capacity that we have is enough to maintain the demand of the local and international market, maintaining the best quality, and we are still happy seeing the response from the market of our neighbouring friend,” said Selim H Rahman.

“We just completed five years of our presence in India. It was a tremendous journey so far. We experienced a rise; we saw slow growth but we did not stop even during the pandemic. This was possible only because of our partners’ indomitable conviction. This is the first time we have arranged this Pan India Dealers Meet. We hope that the success will continue with coverage in newer territories and be the most lovable furniture brand in India,” Rahman further added.

Hatil has been around for three decades and is one of the most trusted furniture brands in Bangladesh.

Established in 1989, the brand has been making waves with its contemporary style and world-class quality and has been expanding rapidly with a number of new outlets being opened every year. Currently, the brand operates 72 showrooms across Bangladesh and has showrooms across different states of India, including Mizoram, Manipur, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, and Chandigarh. There are two showrooms in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan as well.

Hatil also exports its products to Canada, the USA, Australia, the Middle East, The Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Europe.
