The Local Government Division under the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives has received the highest allocation for the upcoming 2022-23 fiscal year.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal revealed the information during speech for the 2022-2023 fiscal year on Thursday.
The other ministries and departments in the top 10 list are Ministry of Defence, Department of Education, Department of Road Transport and Highways, Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, Health Services Division, Public Security Division, Power Division, Ministry of Agriculture, and Ministry of Railways.
The total amount allocated to these priority ministries and departments of the government is Tk3,09,511, which is 45.66% of the total budget.
