Mutual Trust Bank (MTB) recently signed an agreement with Buy Now, an online marketplace, at a simple ceremony held at MTB Centre, the bank’s Corporate Head Office in the capital’s Gulshan 1.
Under this agreement, MTB will provide Payment Gateway Service to Buy Now. Customers who buy from Buy Now’s portal will be able to make payments through their credit cards and debit cards, reads a press release.
The process is designed in such a way that ensures merchants selling the products or services only receives payment when a customer receives products or services.
Chief Executive Officer of Buy Now Shamima Islam Tusty and Managing Director and CEO of MTB Syed Mahbubur Rahman signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Among others, Additional Managing Director and Group Chief Risk Officer Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, Head of Digital Banking Division Khalid Hossin and Head of Communications Department Azam Khan from MTB and Chief Operating Officer Yasser Arafat from Buy Now were also present at the ceremony.
