Mutual Trust Bank (MTB), in collaboration with TallyKhata, a leading digital platform for small businesses in Bangladesh, has recently launched the country's first digital loan service for the small businesses at a simple ceremony held at Six Seasons Hotel in Dhaka.
In line with the bank's digital transformation and development, MTB and TallyKhata have jointly introduced this facilities to enhance smooth digital banking facilities for the customers, reads a press release.
Md Khurshid Alam, executive director of Bangladesh Bank, has inaugurated the MTB TallyKhata Digital Loan product as the chief guest in the presence of Syed Mahbubur Rahman, managing director & CEO of MTB, Dr Shahadat Khan, founder & CEO, TallyKhata, Soumya Basu, Visa country manager and Muhammad Nazeem Hassan Satter, general manager, SME Foundation.
Small businesses can now apply for working capital loans using a simple app and the loan may be approved within a very short period.
Among others, from MTB Khalid Hossin, head of the digital banking division and Azam Khan, head of MTB Communications Department (MCD) and from TallyKhata Md Abu Taleb, CBO and Mahfuzur Rahaman, CTO along with other senior officials from both organizations were also present at the ceremony.
