foodpanda to continue delivering food, groceries amid lockdown

Services including online food delivery, Pandamart grocery service, and other deliveries will stay available

Update : 01 Jul 2021, 07:55 PM

foodpanda, the online-food-and-grocery delivery service, will continue to deliver food and groceries to households across the country during the weeklong hard lockdown starting from July 1.

Continuing to prove their necessity during the pandemic, foodpanda has taken all required measures to deliver goods to customers, while maintaining health and safety protocols that follow the government’s guidelines, such as, ensuring that riders sanitize their hands frequently and wear masks, as well as the employment of an option that allows for contactless delivery (to avoid interaction with the rider), when an advanced payment is made digitally, said a press release.

As the cases of Covid-19 have recently reached a new peak, the government has now announced a weeklong countrywide shutdown.

To help consumers receive daily essential items delivered to their doorstep within the shortest possible time amidst the shutdown, foodpanda’s services, including online food delivery, Panda-mart grocery service, and other deliveries will stay available.

It is to be mentioned that lockdown protocols have allowed restaurants to keep their kitchens open and continue their takeaway and home-delivery services, so that businesses can survive while consumers get food delivered at the safety of their home.

So whenever, and whatever it be that consumers need, from a meal to baby diapers, all they have to do is open the foodpanda app and order their desired items online.
