App-based cloud kitchen and digital food court Kludio is launching a service to help all restaurateurs, home cooks, and virtual brands survive, expand, and be more profitable.
The new offering — Kitchen as a Service (KaaS) — will not only help restaurants to survive but also thrive, according to the company.
While most of the food and beverage entrepreneurs have been facing challenges due to Covid-19, Kludio’s cloud kitchen and food brands have been growing throughout the pandemic, it said in a press release.
The KaaS service will lend a hand to any and every food entrepreneur who is looking to expand or home cooks and any food brands who are looking for better profitability by providing them with kitchen infrastructure, logistics, supply chain, and technology.
It usually takes Tk10 lakh to Tk20 lakh to build a kitchen infrastructure coupled with more than Tk1 lakh in operating costs.
But Kaas is creating the opportunity for food entrepreneurs to launch their businesses with zero upfront investment, reducing operating cost by 70% through its innovative production system, ultimately, making every food business more sustainable and profitable.
The KaaS model is contributing to the UN's sustainable development goal 9 and 12 — building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization and fostering innovation, and responsible growth and consumption.
Every day around 5-7% food is wasted on site at restaurants potentially, wasting $300 million annually in Bangladesh, the press release adds.
Through Kludio’s innovative processing, storage, and transport systems, it is able to minimize this loss.
Kludio’s KaaS will enable expansion into new locations for food entrepreneurs and reduce operating costs, hence reducing the risk for food entrepreneurs.
