'Baahubali' and 'Sultan Suleiman,' the new clothes craze among Khulna teens

Update : 20 Jun 2017, 04:10 PM
The Eid bazaar is in full swing in Khulna, from shops on the pavement, to exquisite store, from sun up to sundown. The "Baahubali" and "Katappa" style is pretty popular among the teens shopping in these stores. Clothes designed after the outfits of actors and actresses from the popular TV show Sultan Suleiman and Indian epic film Baahubali-2 are teen favorites as well. Last Eid, the fad was "Pakhi" and "Kironmala." Traders have told the Dhaka Tribune that load shedding and easier passage to India have caused businesses to suffer. On Sunday, sellers were seen offering lehengas from Punjab, Panchuas from Mumbai and Baahubali-2 clothes between Tk3,000 and Tk16,000 based on product quality in stores in New Market, Dhaka.Shopkeepers busy themselves arranging their products on display ahead of Eid Dhaka Tribune Shopkeepers busy themselves arranging their products on display ahead of Eid Dhaka TribuneClothes of various colours and names were seen in most of the shops in Dhaka's New Market and Daakbangla Shopping Complex.
