Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL) won the prestigious Karlsruhe Sustainable Finance Awards 2020 for implementing Solar Irrigation Pump (SIP) Project in Bangladesh.
The company attained the prize in 'Outstanding Sustainable Project Financing' category, said a press release.
The award was given by European Organization for Sustainable Development (EOSD), a dedicated body established for developing projects that contribute in implementing the EU Strategy for Sustainable Development.
Minister (Politicalat at the Embassy of Bangladesh in Germany M Murshidul Huq Khan recently received the award and the certificate of merit on behalf of IDCOL at Karlsruhe, Germany.
Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company Mahmood Malik, Deputy CEO SM Monirul Islam other senior officials were present on the occasion.
Some of the other award recipients include Tekun Nasional Malaysia, Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia, Environmental Investment Fund of Namibia, Uganda Development Bank Ltd.
