Unilever Bangladesh Limited and Unilever Consumer Care Limited handed over two cheques for Tk7.7 crore for the ministry’s labour welfare foundation as its contribution of workers share of profit on Sunday.
Unilever Bangladesh Limited’s Legal Director and Company Secretary Rashedul Qayum and Unilever Consumer Care Limited’s Managing Director KSM Minhaj gave the cheques to State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Monnujan Sufian at her Secretariat office in the capital, said a press release.
Labour Ministry’ Secretary KM Abdus Salam, Director General of Bangladesh Labour Welfare Foundation Mollah Jalal Uddin, and Finance Director of UCL Hasnain T Ahmed and Head of Corporate Affairs of UBL Shamima Akhter were present in the program.

On June 30, Unilever successfully completed acquiring 81.98 % shares of GlaxoSmithKline Bangladesh Limited (GSKBD) from Setfirst (GSK Group) and renamed the company as Unilever Consumer Care Limited (UCL).
