Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (Bepza) donated Tk6.059 crore to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Relief and Welfare Fund, and Bangabandhu Memorial Trust.
On behalf of the investors of Bepza, its Executive Chairman Major General Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan, ndc, psc recently handed over the cheque to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
Bepza inspired the investors to donate the money as part of their corporate social responsibility.
Suraiya Begum, ndc, senior secretary to the PMO, Syed Mohamamd Tanvir, director of Pacific Jeans, Mujibur Rahman, managing director of Smart Group, General Abdul Mubeen (retd), chairman of United Power Generation and Distribution Co, among others.
