BGMEA wants tax at source exemption for 2yrs

Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) called on the government to offer it exemption of tax at source for minimum two years. BGMEA President Md Siddiqur Rahman made the proposal at a pre-budget discussion meeting at the National Board of Revenue (NBR) Headquarters on Thursday. He said: “The policies for our sector should be created for a period of minimum five years. A change in policy every year creates a lot of problems for us.” NBR Chairman Md Nojibur Rahman presided over the meeting.
