Junior Chamber International (JCI) Dhaka West, a chapter of JCI Bangladesh is going to host a charity dinner to celebrate 20 years of Active Citizenship, today at 7:30 pm at the Long Beach Suites hotel in Gulshan.
Through this event, JCI Dhaka West will celebrate its achievements and accomplishments since its inception in 1998, said a press release.
Top entrepreneurs and businessmen of the country will be attending the event and donate to further the cause of JCI Dhaka West.
All proceeds from the event will be directed towards the development of the JCI Suburb Community, a chapter of JCI Bangladesh based in the outskirts of Dhaka city.
The chapter works towards developing a community as a whole by encouraging its people to support and empower the neighboring areas.
JCI is a worldwide membership-based nonprofit organization made up of young active citizens’ aged 18 to 40, who are dedicated to creating lasting positive change in their communities.
Through projects in 5,000 communities across more than 100 countries, members seek targeted solutions to local problems, creating a global impact. JCI Dhaka West is one of the founding chapters of JCI (Junior Chamber International) Bangladesh.
Members of this chapter has completed multiple projects aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals including building libraries in underprivileged areas, planting trees, conducting awareness sessions to educate young girls about menstrual health.
