A pavilion in Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) titled “Bangabandhu and Bangladesh” is exhibiting 26 paintings on the life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The paintings depict the story of Bangabandhu’s transition from a child to becoming the father of the nation. The paintings were made by 19 prominent artists in the country, including Rafiqun Nabi, Bishwajit Goswami, Shamsuddoha, Kamal Uddin and Farida Zaman. Many DITF visitors praised the initiative of exhibiting the multidimensional and purposeful life of Bangabandhu through art. “This kind of vibrant exhibition allows children to learn the history and enrich their knowledge. This exhibition shows people the struggles of our greatest political leader,” said Nurul Ehsan, who was visiting the fair with his son. Rizon Chowdhury, a university student, said: “I got to learn history that I never knew before. This is undoubtedly a great exhibition.” The exhibition is open for all and visitors can enter for free. It starts at 10am and continues till 10pm every day in the DITF.
