A newly SSC examination passed student was gang-raped by her boyfriend and his two other friends at Char Padmabila village in Kashani upazila of Gopalganj district on Sunday evening.

2 workers killed in Chittagong landslide
Two workers have been killed and another was injured in a landslide while cutting hills in Banshkhali upazila in Chittagong.
The dead were identified as Md Liakat, 27, and Mir Kamal, 32, hailing from Choroti of Satkania upazila of the district, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shawpan Kumar Majumdar of Banshkhali police station.
New office hour set for Ramadan
The government has set new office hours for the month of Ramadan.
All government, semi-government and autonomous offices will remain open from 9am-3:30pm with 15 minutes break from 1:15pm-1:30pm.
Kolkata-Dhaka-Agartala bus begins trial run
The trail run of a much-awaited new bus service between West Bengal’s Kolkata and Agartala of Tripura via Dhaka has been started from Monday.

Gazipur factory fire under control after floor collapse
The fire seven-storey Dignity Textile Mills at Betjur area under Sreepur municipality has been brought under control, 20 hours after the incident.
Earlier, five floors of the factory collapsed around 4am Monday.
Report: US police kill more than 2 a day
Data collected by the Washington Post newspaper suggests that the number of people shot by US police is twice as high as official figures claim.
The paper said that during the first five months of this year, 385 people - more than two a day - were killed.
