10-year-old domestic help sets herself on fire

Unable to endure her employers' abuse any longer, a 10-year-old domestic help has reportedly set herself on fire in the capital's Ramna area. Joba Akhter was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with 95% burns on Friday morning, soon after she reportedly set herself ablaze.

15 Bangladeshis left abandoned on Nicaragua highway

The Nicaraguan police have said they found 15 Bangladeshi migrants wandering lost on a highway in that country after their traffickers abandoned them. Nicaragua Police Commissioner Leonidas Roque said the migrants were being taken from Costa Rica to Honduras. That route takes them across Nicaragua on their way to the United States.
