Rajon died from brain haemorrhage 

The ill-fated 13-year-old boy Sheikh Samiul Alam Rajon died from a brain haemorrhage, according to the autopsy report. Akhtar Hossain, OC of Jalalabad police station, said they got the autopsy report on Monday afternoon. A total of 64 injury marks were spotted on Rajon's body, the OC said quoting the report.

Ashraf absent in cabinet meeting 

Minister without portfolio Syed Ashraful Islam, who was recently relieved of his duties as LGRD minister, was absent in the regular cabinet meeting on Monday. The meeting was held at Prime Minister's Office chaired by the premier.

7-year-old boy beaten to death, uncle held 

A seven-year-old boy has been beaten to death allegedly by his uncle in the port city’s Chandgaon area. The deceased is Tikon Dey, son of Basu Dey, of Rangunia upazila in Chittagong.

3 suspected robbers lynched in Barisal 

Three suspected robbers have been beaten to death in the district's Hizla upazila. The deceased are Miraz Molla, Harun Bepari, and Hanif Sardar. Locals said they chased a robber gang of 10/12 members while they were preparing for robbery at Baherchar village early Monday.

Sylhet child murder: One tormentor remanded, another held 

A Sylhet court has placed one person on a five-day remand in a case filed for torturing a 13-year-old boy to death in Sylhet and later uploading a video of the beating to the internet. The court of Sylhet Metropolitan Magistrate 2 Farhana Yesmin passed the order on Monday morning after the police produced one of the tormentors Muhit Alam before it with a seven-day remand plea.

Minu sent to jail on surrender 

A Rajshahi court has sent former mayor and also the city unit BNP President Mizanur Rahman Minu to jail after he surrendered before it in connection with seven violence cases. The court of Rajshahi Metropolitan Magistrate Joyonti Rani Das passed the order Monday, rejecting Minu's bail plea.

Holy Shab-e-Qadr Tuesday 

The holy Shab-e-Qadr or Lailatul Qadr will be observed on Tuesday night through offering special prayers. The first verses of the holy Quran were revealed to the Greatest Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) on that night.
