Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Saturday forecasted rain in different parts of the country in next 24 hours commencing from 9am.
"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes are likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions," said a Met Office bulletin issued Saturday morning.
Besides, it said, moderately heavy to heavy falls may occur at places over the Rangpur and Sylhet divisions.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
A mild heatwave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna and Jessore and it may continue, the bulletin said.
The highest temperature was recorded on Friday was 36.6°C in Jessore, while Saturday's minimum temperature was 23.2°C in Sylhet.
The sun sets at 6:50pm on Saturday and rises at 5:14am on Sunday in Dhaka.
