Update : 02 Sep 2026, 05:17 PM

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has cut the retail price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for September, reducing the cost of a 12kg cylinder by Tk13 to Tk1,585 from Tk1,598.
The new price will take effect from Wednesday evening.

In July, the price of a 12kg LPG cylinder was Tk1,528 before being increased by Tk70 in August. However, the July price had been slashed by Tk357 from Tk1,885 in the previous month.

In a notification issued on Wednesday, BERC said the consumer-level price of privately marketed LPG has been set at Tk132.12 per kg.

The commission also reduced the price of autogas used in vehicles to Tk73.09 per litre from Tk73.67. The price stood at Tk70.40 per litre in July.

BERC revises LPG and autogas prices every month based on international LPG prices and other related costs.

Meanwhile, the commission has set the price of LPG supplied in liquid form through reticulated systems for household use at Tk285.30 per cubic metre.
