LPG price drops

BERC has decided to reduce the price of each 12kg cylinder by Tk161 to Tk1,074

Liquefied Natural Gas (LPG) prices have been slashed at the consumer level. 

At the consumer level, the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has decided to reduce the price of each 12kg cylinder by Tk161 to Tk1,074 which is Tk1,235 in the current fiscal year.

BERC announced the new rate at 3pm on Thursday. 

The company is responsible for determining the price of the imported product.

On May 2, BERC had raised the price of 12kg LPG cylinder from Tk1,178 to Tk1,235 at the consumer level.

According to the announcement, the price of private LPG has been fixed at Tk102.91 per kg including VAT at the retail point of the consumer.

Besides, the price of private LPG supplied in liquid state in reticulated system has been fixed at Tk99.68 per kg including VAT.

Besides, the price of auto gas at the consumer level is fixed at Tk57.52 per litre including tax.
