Leader of the opposition in parliament Rawshan Ershad yesterday hoped that the current political problem will be resolved very soon as they do politics for the welfare of people.
“We hope this problem will be resolved within a short time. The current situation can’t continue,” she said while talking to reporters after visiting the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
A healthy democratic atmosphere should prevail in a democratic country, she said adding, “The current problem will be over very soon as we do politics for the welfare of people and protecting their interests.”
Rawshan said violence, acts of sabotage and killing people through firing cannot be a political programme of a political party.
Calling upon 20-party not to make people their political opponents, the opposition leader suggested it to shun violence and acts of sabotage while observing its programmes.
Opposition chief whip Tajul Islam and former Jatiya Party secretary general Ruhul Amin Hawlader accompanied Rawshan during her DMCH visit.
She went to the DMCH burn unit around 11am as a good number of victims of fire and bomb blasts during the ongoing blockade programme are undergoing treatment there.
Rawshan stayed there for nearly 35 minutes and talked to the victims and their family members, and consoled them.
