As the charge sheet was placed before the three-member tribunal it fixed the date on December 11 for the hearing on charge-framing, said Prosecutor Rezia Sultana Chaman.
Of the six charges brought against them, four are for murder and mass murder while the rest two are on allegations of confinement, looting and torture.
The accused are Trishal (Mymensingh-7 constituency) lawmaker Hannan, 80, his son Rafique Sajjad, 62, Khandakar Golam Sabbir Ahmed, 69, Mizanur Rahman Mintu, 63, Hormuj Ali, 73, Mohammad Abdus Sattar, 64, Mohammad Fakruzzaman, 61, and Khandakar Golam Rabbani, 63.
Of them, Fakruzzaman, Sattar and Rabbai are on the run.
Prosecutor Tureen Afroz told reporters that according to the constitution parliament membership would be canceled if a member of the parliament is absent for 90 days. Hannan was arrested more than 90 days back.
She urged the speaker of the parliament to look into the matter.
The war crimes case was filed by wife of a freedom fighter on May, 2015 at Trishal in Mymensingh which was transferred to the tribunal later. Tribunal's investigation agency started probe in July and arrest warrant was issued the next moth that year.
After investigation, the report was submitted to the prosecution in July this year.
The charges includes abduction and torture of a renowned sculptor Abdur Rashid of Mymensing's Golokibari. Abdur Rashid was tied to the back of a jeep with a rope and he was then dragged until he died.
The body was dumped into an unknown place between April 23 and 24, 1971.
The second charge was brought against him for killing one Sentu and two unknown members of Hindu communities while setting Boilor Hindu Palli and Munshipara on fire on August 2, 1971.
The third one was for abduction, confinement, torture and killing of one Abdur Rahman of Boilor between August 07 and August 09.
The fourth was for abduction, confinement, torture and killing of Khandakar Abdul Ali Ratan between November 17 to December 07.
The fifth was for detaining, torture and handing over one Md Abed Hossain between April 23 and July 28 to the Pakistan occupational army.
The sixth charge was for abduction, confinement and torture on KM Khalid Babu between August 07 and August 10, 1971.
